Good Girls Cry, Bad Girls Mourn is a Cinematic Musical Novel, a new storytelling form where narrative, music, voice, and cinematic imagery come together like theatre on the page.
At first glance, it may appear to be a romantic heartbreak story—where pain transforms an innocent “good girl” into a “bad girl,” while the good girl carries all the blame.
But beneath the romance lies something much older. It is the story of a little girl abandoned by her mother who unknowingly walks a path similar to her own mother.
Through love, mistakes, and longing,
she slowly begins to understand why her mother left.
And in that understanding, the part of herself once seen as reckless, the “bad girl” becomes integrated and accepted.
And the good girl?
She finally realizes it was never her fault.
