The hopeful message behind the heartbreaking Amazon Fires
In this fire circle, we shall come together with the solution.
In this fire circle, we shall come together with the solution.

Who burn Amazon? That was the first question that came to my mind, following by the tear at the corner of my eyes.
While watching those footages of burning amazon forest videos, I could hear the spirits of trees, earth, water, and aminals screamed out for help.
Amazon is the lung of the planet. Without the lung how the body would be alive. I felt like dying as fast as the progression of Amazon’s damage.
I wanted to look out for someone to blame. Who? Who to responsible? The messages in the media were going in the same direction of grief, anger, and hopeless. People pointed fingers out each other. It became the society of blaming and complaining. Whose false? governments? farmer? president? industry? consumer? Who to blame?
After getting myself together, I asked silently. What were Amazon fires trying to tell us? There must be a good reason. It might take time to understand.
It might be the fire that would bring us together in the same mission, to save the world.
I do not have any reasons to support this belief but I saw:
The movement of people suggested consuming less strategy for reducing carbon monoxide.
The movement of people suggested living sustainably.
The movement of people initiated a project to generate energy from waste.
The movement of people everywhere expressed how sorry they have done to the earth, our land.
I saw hope in humanity.
I believe in people, in humanity, in everyone’s hearts. We are connected to nature. We can heal the world together.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
The picture of Amazon in fire reminded me that this event was not happening for the first time. Every land occupied by buildings, houses, and everything made by man was once homes of trees and living creatures. Before it became a big city, it was once, the Forrest. We had destroyed it long ago.
What was the difference? Why could we point the finger out and blame when we did the same things to our own home?
By living and breathing, by consuming foods and goods, by using gas and electricity, we were part of creating carbon dioxide, the source of the problems.
Who were we to judge? we were part of the problem because of our directly, indirectly, conscious, and unconscious actions.
When we stop blaming each other then we could start doing something.
Our actions may seem small but we couldn’t underestimate the small action effect.
I live on a small island in the south of Thailand. When I moved here a year and a half ago. I was impressed with how the lifestyle of the community. Majority of people lived sustainably and produced fewer wastes. In a million time, I would not imagine myself living the same way. But slowly, I absorbed the lifestyle and adapted that to myself. People around me started to be influenced by the way I changed.
If it was possible for me, it would be possible for everyone.
Imagine! how many people would be influenced by these little actions we did daily. It could be big and we could influence the organizations, governments, and everyone in the world. Together we could make it happen. What we need is hope.
I believe there is nothing too late. We can start one step at the time. It is time to come together and stop blaming each other. We are part of the problem and we will be the solution. Let’s us all come together around the fire like in those old days.
Let the fire burns out the doubt in Humanity.
Let the fire burns out the doubt in our future.
In this fire circle, we shall come together with the solution.
I believe and I hope.
